Roche commits up to $1 billion to develop bispecific antibodies with Dualitas
Roche announced a partnership with Dualitas Therapeutics, a California biotech, to advance bispecific antibody programs aimed at immunological and inflammatory diseases.
The agreement includes an upfront payment of $36.5 million and potential milestone payments that could bring the total value to $1 billion, with Dualitas receiving tiered royalties on any future product sales.
Under the deal, Roche will obtain access to Dualitas’s DualScreen Bispecific Discovery Engine, which the company says can screen over 300,000 bispecific combinations, and will handle all preclinical, regulatory, manufacturing and commercial responsibilities.
The collaboration is expected to broaden Roche’s capabilities in the bispecific antibody space, a modality that aims to target multiple disease pathways simultaneously.
