Roche inks $1 billion deal with Dualitas to screen 300,000 bispecific combos for immunology and inflammation

Sep 17, 2026·read at Fierce Biotech ↗DealPositive

Roche has agreed to pay Dualitas Therapeutics an upfront $36.5 million as part of a broader agreement that could be worth up to $1 billion.

The collaboration will use Dualitas’s DualScreen platform to functionally screen more than 300,000 novel bispecific antibody combinations, targeting diseases in immunology and inflammation.

Dualitas, founded a year ago with $65 million in Series A funding, will conduct the high‑throughput screening and hand promising candidates to Roche for preclinical development and beyond.

Roche will provide R&D and commercial milestone payments as programs progress, and the deal includes tiered royalties on any resulting products, which could join Roche’s existing bispecific portfolio such as Hemlibra and Lunsumio.
