Supernus and Individor to merge, creating $2 billion brain-drug company

Aug 3, 2026·read at BioPharma Dive ↗DealPositive

Supernus and Individor announced a merger that will combine their portfolios of neurological medicines.

The two firms together generated about $2 billion in revenue in 2025 from roughly a dozen CNS drugs that treat opioid use disorder, Parkinson’s disease and other conditions.

Under the agreement, Supernus shareholders will receive 1.54 shares of Individor for each share they own, while Individor shareholders will receive a one‑time $1 billion cash dividend funded by a $650 million loan and existing cash.

After closing, the new entity will retain the Supernus name, be based in Rockville, Maryland, and be led by Supernus CEO Jack Khattar, with Individor board member Tony Kingsley as chair. The board will have eight members split evenly between the two legacy companies.
