Sanofi CEO pledges to rebuild trust and expand partnership with Regeneron
Sanofi's new chief executive, Belén Garijo, told analysts that restoring the relationship with longtime partner Regeneron is a top priority. She said the company wants to be more transparent and to add assets from both sides to deepen the alliance.
Garijo noted that Sanofi has recently discontinued several immune-targeted drug programs, including amlitelimab and itepekimab, as it prepares for the upcoming patent expiration of its blockbuster Dupixent. The company plans to intensify business-development and merger-acquisition activity to offset the loss.
The CEO emphasized that Regeneron remains strategically important and that ongoing conversations aim to identify the best opportunities for both companies moving forward.
