Xaira Therapeutics details its generative AI antibody platform X-Design and unveils first pipeline candidates
Xaira Therapeutics, which raised $1 billion in 2024, has now shared details of its AI-driven antibody design platform called X-Design and provided a glimpse of its emerging pipeline.
The company says X-Design is intended to generate drug-ready antibodies from the outset, complementing two other models, X-Cell and X-Patient, that together cover target identification, molecule creation and patient selection.
Co-founder and Nobel laureate David Baker noted that the platform could address proteins previously considered undruggable by traditional antibody methods, expanding therapeutic possibilities.
CEO Marc Tessier-Lavigne emphasized that the firm has been moving deliberately, focusing on building a full-stack drug discovery system before accelerating external partnerships or launches.
