Jazz partners with AbCellera on $4 billion deal to develop next-generation T-cell engagers for solid tumors
Jazz Pharmaceuticals disclosed a collaboration with AbCellera aimed at creating next-generation T-cell-engaging antibodies for solid tumors.
Under the agreement Jazz will pay $56 million up front for discovery and early-stage preclinical work on two programs, and will fund a third discovery effort within a year for an additional $28 million.
The contract includes optional milestones that could bring AbCellera up to $792 million per program in development, regulatory and commercial payments, as well as potential royalties on any approved products.
The partnership highlights the growing focus on bispecific antibodies that link immune cells to disease targets, an area that has seen success in blood cancers but is still being explored for solid tumor indications.
