J&J's Talvey plus Darzalex Faspro cuts death risk by up to 53% in relapsed multiple myeloma

Johnson & Johnson reported that a combination of its immunotherapy Talvey with Darzalex Faspro, with or without Pomalyst, significantly lowered the risk of death in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. The data were presented at the European Hematology Association meeting and published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

The analysis showed a 53% reduction in mortality after two years compared with the standard regimen, and a 72% decrease in the risk of disease progression or death.

The results support J&J’s plan to seek expanded labeling for Talvey in the United States and Europe, potentially broadening treatment options for earlier stage disease.
