Sanofi halts Nurix STAT6 degrader program two months after phase-1 start
Sanofi announced it is ending its collaboration with Nurix on a STAT6 degrader, just two months after the drug entered a phase-1 study.
The two companies have worked together since 2019, with Sanofi initially paying $55 million and later adding $22 million, before expanding the deal in 2024 to include the STAT6 degrader known as SAR448272. The program moved into a phase-1 trial in August, triggering a $10 million milestone to Nurix.
Despite the recent launch, Sanofi decided to stop the trial and terminate the agreement, citing a change of strategy. Nurix confirmed the termination in a press release, ending a partnership that had produced several degrader programs.
