Genmab’s Rina-S ADC cuts risk of progression and death in Phase 3 ovarian cancer trial
Genmab reported results from its Phase 3 RAINFOL-02 trial of the FRα‑directed antibody‑drug conjugate Rina‑S (rinatabart sesutecan) in patients with platinum‑resistant ovarian cancer.
In the intent‑to‑treat population of 584 participants, Rina‑S lowered the risk of disease progression or death by 71%, meeting the primary progression‑free survival endpoint, and reduced the risk of death by 57%, achieving the key secondary overall survival endpoint.
Analysts said the magnitude of benefit exceeds expectations and sets a high bar for future competition, particularly against AbbVie’s Elahere in the ovarian cancer market.
Genmab’s stock rose more than 8% after the announcement, trading around $43.70, up from $39.84 earlier in the week.
