Syndax halts development of Niktimvo after Phase 2 failure in IPF trial
read at Endpoints ↗Negative readoutNegative
Syndax announced it is stopping work on its experimental drug Niktimvo for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) after the compound did not meet its primary endpoints in a placebo-controlled Phase 2 study.
The mid-stage trial was intended to assess the drug's ability to slow disease progression in patients with this rare, progressive lung condition. Results showed no statistically significant benefit compared with placebo.
As a result, Syndax will discontinue further development of Niktimvo for IPF and will focus resources on its other pipeline programs.
