Genmab’s Rina-S ADC shows 9.5-month median PFS, touted as superior to AbbVie’s Elahere
Genmab reported median progression‑free survival of 9.5 months for its FRα‑directed antibody‑drug conjugate Rina‑S in part C of the phase 1/2 Rainfol‑01 trial, which enrolled 109 patients with platinum‑resistant ovarian cancer. The objective response rate in this cohort was 45.9%, following an earlier 55.6% response observed in a previous part of the study.
Analysts highlighted the median PFS result as meaningfully better than the 5.6 months reported for AbbVie’s ADC Elahere in a phase 3 trial of 453 patients. They argued that the longer PFS indicates stronger durability in a heavily pretreated population.
TD Cowen analysts concluded that the Rina‑S readout positions the asset to overtake Elahere and places it ahead of other next‑generation FRα‑directed ADCs, calling the data "solid" and the efficacy "clearly superior."
