Samsung Biologics secures $262 million manufacturing contract with European pharma firm
Samsung Biologics announced a $262 million agreement to provide manufacturing services to an unnamed European pharmaceutical company. The contract runs through 2033.
The deal will be executed at Samsung’s Bio Campus I in Songdo, South Korea, where the CDMO already operates four plants at full capacity. The company has recently opened a fifth plant at the new Bio Campus II, which began ramp-up in April 2025.
Samsung Biologics is expanding its production footprint, planning three additional plants at Bio Campus II by 2032, which will raise total capacity to 720 kL, surpassing the 605 kL at the original site. The new contract supports the utilization of this growing capacity.
