BMS CAR-T therapy arlo-cel meets primary endpoint in pivotal multiple myeloma trial

Bristol Myers Squibb reported that its GPRC5D-directed CAR-T cell therapy, arlo-cel, achieved the primary endpoint in the pivotal Quintessential trial for multiple myeloma.

The study enrolled patients who had already been treated with an immunomodulatory drug, a proteasome inhibitor, an anti-CD38 antibody and a BCMA-targeted therapy, reflecting the heavily pre-treated population that often relapses after existing CAR-T options.

In addition to the overall response rate, the trial also met the key secondary endpoint of complete response rate. The company has not yet released data on progression-free or overall survival and plans to present further results at an upcoming Medica meeting.
