Arrowhead's RNAi drug Redemplo shows safety advantage over Ionis in late-stage triglyceride trials

At the European Society of Cardiology meeting in Munich, Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals presented new data on its RNA interference candidate Redemplo.

Redemplo was evaluated in two late-stage studies involving patients with elevated triglyceride levels. The trials reported that the drug not only lowered the fatty molecules but also demonstrated a favorable safety profile compared with existing therapies.

The results position Arrowhead as a potential challenger to Ionis Pharmaceuticals, which has been developing similar RNA-based approaches for lipid disorders.
