Haisco partners with US VCs to launch immunology biotech Sentivera with up to $1.5B funding
Haisco Pharmaceutical Group announced the creation of a new immunology-focused biotech called Sentivera, backed by two American venture‑capital firms, Population Health Partners and ARCH Venture Partners.
The partnership could be worth as much as $1.5 billion, including an upfront payment of $75.9 million and potential downstream milestones and royalties that could reach $1.46 billion if the asset reaches market.
Sentivera will assume global development rights to a core Haisco immunology asset that targets type‑2 inflammatory diseases such as asthma, atopic dermatitis, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and eosinophilic esophagitis.
Haisco will continue to develop the therapy within China, where the candidate recently achieved investigational new drug status.
