TME Pharma narrows licensing talks for brain-cancer drug NOX-A12, eyes $1 billion market

TME Pharma, a German biotech, says it has narrowed potential partners for its experimental glioblastoma therapy NOX-A12, a CCL2 inhibitor, to two firms and entered a final evaluation phase.

The company, which entered the year with roughly €2 million in cash, is seeking a licensing partner to fund phase‑2 development, as it cannot advance the program alone.

NOX-A12 has already completed a phase 1/2 study combined with radiotherapy and Roche's Avastin, and a phase 2 trial is ready in Germany and has received U.S. clearance, but further work depends on external support.

TME projects the drug could achieve up to $1 billion in peak sales, positioning it as a flagship candidate for a disease that currently lacks a cure.
