Incyte reports strong early results for KRAS G12D inhibitor in pancreatic cancer, rivals RevMed
Incyte presented phase 1 data at the European Society for Medical Oncology congress in Madrid, highlighting its KRAS G12D inhibitor INCB161734 combined with chemotherapy for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
In the cohort receiving modified FOLFIRINOX, 28 patients achieved a confirmed objective response rate of 81% and a disease control rate of 100%, with a six‑month progression‑free survival of 90%.
A second cohort of 26 patients treated with gemcitabine and nab‑paclitaxel showed a confirmed response rate of 58% and disease control of 96%, with a six‑month PFS of 80%. The most common treatment‑related adverse events were diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and decreased neutrophil count.
Company officials said the results position Incyte as a direct competitor to Revolution Medicines in the emerging KRAS G12D therapeutic arena.
