Curium to acquire Lantheus in deal valued up to $8 billion

Aug 3, 2026·read at Fierce Biotech ↗DealNeutral

Curium announced it will purchase all outstanding shares of Lantheus for $102.50 cash per share, with potential additional $12 per share via contingent value rights linked to sales milestones in prostate cancer, neurology and Definity franchises through 2030.

The transaction, valued at up to $8 billion, is expected to close in the first half of 2027 pending shareholder and regulatory approval, after earlier reports linked the companies.

The merger will combine Curium’s global manufacturing and theranostics pipeline with Lantheus’ U.S. radiodiagnostics business, creating a vertically integrated operation covering isotope production, manufacturing, imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy.

The combined privately held entity aims to serve oncology, neurology and cardiology patients in more than 70 countries.
