Eli Lilly and Resilience commit $750 million to expand U.S. KwikPen device capacity for diabetes and obesity treatments

Eli Lilly and contract development and manufacturing organization Resilience have announced a $750 million investment to boost U.S. production of the KwikPen device that delivers Lilly’s injectable diabetes and obesity medicines.

The funding will be used to expand Resilience’s manufacturing footprint in the Cincinnati region, with construction and equipment upgrades aimed at bringing the expanded facility online early next year.

The move follows Lilly’s recent FDA approval of Zepbound in a multidose KwikPen, a four‑dose pen that provides a month’s supply for obesity treatment, underscoring the company’s focus on growing its weight‑loss and diabetes portfolio.
