GSK signs up to $110 million AI data partnership with Relation

GSK announced a research collaboration with AI-focused biotech Relation, valued at up to $110 million.

Under the agreement Relation will produce large-scale datasets that capture how human cells react to genetic changes and drug treatments. These perturbation data will be fed into foundation models, including Relation’s MORGAN system, to predict cellular responses across disease contexts.

GSK hopes the richer data and improved modeling will raise confidence in early-stage drug targets and increase the odds of success later in development. Relation will receive upfront and milestone payments from GSK, though specific disease areas were not disclosed.
