Roche says its late-stage pipeline is full, sees growth through 2030

Jul 23, 2026·read at BioSpace ↗EarningsPositive

Roche's CEO Thomas Schinecker told analysts that the company has 19 investigational medicines that could launch by 2030, indicating a robust late-stage pipeline.

He added that the depth of the pipeline reduces pressure to pursue large acquisitions, as the company feels well positioned for the next decade.

Among the candidates are obesity treatments such as petrelintide, developed with Zealand Pharma, and enicepatide, acquired through the $2.7 billion purchase of Carmot Therapeutics in December 2023.

Roche plans to study petrelintide both as a monotherapy and in combination with CT-388, a dual GLP-1/GIP agonist also obtained in the recent acquisition.
