Pfizer CFO Dave Denton to leave; Denali Therapeutics sells $195 million FDA priority review voucher
Pfizer announced that its chief financial officer Dave Denton will depart on Aug. 15 to take a role outside the pharmaceutical sector. He has been CFO since May 2022.
In the interim, finance chief Cecile Guegan, who leads the global pharma finance unit, will assume CFO duties while the company conducts an internal and external search for a permanent replacement.
Separately, Denali Therapeutics sold an FDA priority‑review voucher it earned after the approval of its Hunter syndrome therapy Avlayah. The voucher transaction was valued at about $195 million, with proceeds earmarked for advancing Denali’s pipeline.
The buyer was not disclosed, but the cash infusion supports Denali’s ongoing development programs.
