Labcorp acquires Millennium Health to expand toxicology testing nationwide

Labcorp announced it is buying Millennium Health, a specialty laboratory that provides toxicology tests for recent use of prescription medications and illicit drugs.

The acquisition is intended to strengthen Labcorp’s toxicology testing capabilities across the United States and to supply clinical data for patients dealing with chronic pain, substance-use disorders and mental-health challenges.

Labcorp said the combined scale, scientific leadership and digital tools will broaden its test menu, enhance its patient service center network and improve digital ordering and result delivery for Millennium’s customers.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal follows a recent string of Labcorp acquisitions, including Myriad Genetics, OPKO Health and BioReference Health assets.
