Alnylam partners with Inceptive Nucleics on AI deal that could reach $2 billion

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals announced a partnership with Inceptive Nucleics to apply artificial‑intelligence tools to its RNA‑based drug discovery program.

The agreement provides an upfront $30 million in cash and equity, and includes milestone payments that could lift the total value of the deal to roughly $2 billion.

The collaboration is aimed at helping Alnylam prioritize the most promising molecules and boost experimental productivity as part of its Alnylam 2030 pipeline expansion strategy.

Inceptive’s chief executive highlighted that the technology will change how life is understood and improved, underscoring the growing role of AI in accelerating pharmaceutical research.
