Alnylam inks up to $2 billion AI partnership with Inceptive Nucleics for RNAi drug discovery

Alnylam announced a three-year strategic collaboration with Inceptive Nucleics to develop AI foundation models for RNAi therapeutics.

The agreement is valued at up to $2 billion, with an initial $30 million paid in cash and equity to the startup.

Future payments will be tied to the co-discovered drugs reaching preclinical, regulatory and commercial milestones.

The partnership leverages Inceptive’s reusable AI models, built by former Google Brain researcher Jakob Uszkoreit, to accelerate sequence-based drug design.
