Lidl US recalls Gelatelli Coffee & Vanilla Gelato over possible Listeria contamination
Lidl US announced a recall of one lot of its Gelatelli Coffee & Vanilla Gelato with coffee sauce and cookie pieces, citing potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
The affected product is a 16‑fl oz pint (UPC 405648972458, lot 085261) with a best‑by date of March 26 2028. It was distributed to all Lidl US stores in several eastern states between July 19 2026 and October 15 2026.
Listeria can cause serious illness, especially in young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and immunocompromised individuals. Symptoms may include fever, headache, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, and infection can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth.
Consumers who have purchased the product are advised to stop using it and return it to the store for a refund. The company is cooperating with the FDA on the recall.
