Lakefront Biotherapeutics, formerly known as Galapagos Therapeutics, announced that it has sold its cell therapy pipeline to fellow Belgian biotech Armed Cell Therapeutics.
The transferred assets comprise a preclinical portfolio of multi-targeting and armed CAR-T constructs designed to improve potency and persistence in both hematological and solid tumor indications.
The transaction includes an upfront payment of 8 million euros and potential milestone payments that could reach up to $230 million, with Armed Cell Therapeutics assuming responsibility for further development.
Lakefront will continue to focus on its autoimmune T-cell engager program acquired from Ouro Medicines in partnership with Gilead Sciences.
