OMass Therapeutics secures $310M Series C, eyes status as Britain’s leading biotech
OMass Therapeutics, an Oxford‑based biotech still in pre‑clinical stage, announced a new financing round that brings in $310 million.
The series C, co‑led by Bain Capital Life Sciences, Forbion and Novo Holdings, is the second‑largest European biotech raise of 2026, trailing only Isomorphic Labs’ $2.1 billion series B.
Existing backers such as GV (Alphabet’s venture arm), Syncona, Sanofi Ventures, the British Business Bank and the University of Oxford also participated, along with Janus Henderson, SV Health Investors and Jefferson Life Sciences.
CEO Ros Deegan said the funding marks a “fantastic milestone” as the company pursues its goal of becoming Britain’s equivalent of Vertex, Genentech or Biogen.
