Verastem Oncology announced early data from a small study of its experimental drug VS-7375, which targets the KRAS G12D mutation.
The study enrolled patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, metastatic colorectal cancer, and advanced non‑small cell lung cancer, showing signals that the drug can bind both active and inactive states of the mutation.
Based on these results, Verastem plans to start three late‑stage trials by the end of June, and the news lifted the company’s share price about 18% on the day of release.
