Insulet launches full U.S. release of Omnipod Discover data platform for Omnipod 5 users

Insulet announced that its Omnipod Discover platform is now fully available across the United States. The web-based service is built to work with the company’s Omnipod 5 automated insulin delivery system.

The platform provides patients and clinicians with visualized glucose and insulin delivery data, along with personalized insights intended to simplify decision-making. Insulet’s chief medical officer said the goal is to turn raw data into meaningful information that can improve diabetes management.

Unlike some competitor tools that focus mainly on clinicians, Omnipod Discover delivers reports directly to a patient’s smartphone, allowing users to see where to focus their care. The launch follows Insulet’s recent voluntary correction for certain Omnipod devices.
