Oliva LLC recalls 250 units of Riad's Oliva to Go dips over undeclared sesame
Oliva LLC of Bethlehem, Connecticut announced a voluntary recall of about 250 units of its Riad's Oliva to Go line, including Baba Ghanouj, Spicy Baba Ghanouj and Hummus.
The recall was triggered after an inspection found sesame, an undeclared allergen, in the products. Sesame can cause serious or life-threatening reactions in people with a sesame allergy.
The affected items were distributed to gourmet shops and farm markets in Litchfield County, CT and Great Barrington, MA. No illnesses have been reported, and the company has updated its labeling to correct the error.
