BD appoints Ferass Abuzaina as Worldwide President of Surgery

Becton, Dickinson and Company announced that Ferass Abuzaina will serve as the new Worldwide President of its Surgery business unit, effective immediately. He will oversee the global strategy, operations, and commercial performance of the Surgery segment and will report to Peter Menziuso, Executive Vice President and President of BD’s Interventional segment.

Abuzaina joins the role after a decade at BD, most recently as Worldwide Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Repair and Reconstruction within Surgery. His background spans research and development, strategy, and business development across several BD businesses, and he has been credited with advancing the Surgery innovation pipeline and improving commercial and operational performance.

The company’s leadership highlighted Abuzaina’s deep understanding of the business and commitment to innovation, stating that his appointment positions the Surgery unit for its next phase of growth and aims to enhance outcomes for patients and clinicians worldwide.
