WinCo Foods recalls salsa bean dip trays after recalled peperoncini found in ingredient
WinCo Foods of Boise, Idaho announced a recall of its ready‑made salsa bean dip trays after learning that the product contains peperoncini from G.L. Mezzetta that had been recalled.
The recall covers two tray sizes – a 54‑ounce Express tray (UPC 2‑67173‑#####) and a 104‑ounce catering tray (UPC 2‑67240‑#####) – with “best if used by” dates ranging from August 14 to September 25, 2026. These items were sold in WinCo stores across Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
G.L. Mezzetta issued the pepper recall because a video from another grocery chain suggested possible pest contamination in a single lot of its Golden Greek Peperoncini. WinCo has not received any reports of pests, illness, or complaints linked to the dip trays.
