Saratoga Potato Chips recalls J. HIGGS Loaded Bacon & Cheddar chips over undeclared soy allergen
Saratoga Potato Chips of Fort Wayne, Indiana announced a recall of two best‑if‑used‑by codes of its 7.75‑ounce J. HIGGS Loaded Bacon and Cheddar potato chips because the product may contain undeclared soy.
The chips were sold in Save A Lot stores across Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Maryland. The packaging shows best‑if‑used‑by dates of Dec 11 2026 and Dec 18 2026 and the UPC code 0‑51933‑31645‑4.
The company said the undeclared soy poses a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions for people with soy allergy. No illnesses or injuries have been reported.
Consumers who purchased the affected packages are advised to return them to the place of purchase. The recall, identified through an internal review, began on September 15, 2025 and remains ongoing.
