Mayo Clinic and Thermo Fisher launch Precure to build large biomedical data set

Mayo Clinic has partnered with Thermo Fisher Scientific to form Precure LLC, a new group focused on creating one of the largest biomedical data sets using human multi‑omics data.

Precure will integrate proteomic, genomic and longitudinal clinical information to identify early biological signals that appear before a disease is clinically diagnosed.

The collaboration aims to give researchers a head start that could speed drug development and enable earlier diagnosis for a range of conditions, including cancer, cardiometabolic disease, neurological disorders and immune‑mediated diseases.

Both parties said the combination of Thermo Fisher’s technology leadership and Mayo Clinic’s clinical expertise could represent a step change in how multi‑omics data are generated and applied to improve human health.
