Eli Lilly announced a collaboration with Canadian biotech QurCan Therapeutics to advance genetic medicines aimed at the central nervous system.
Under the deal, Lilly will provide up to $237 million per program in research, development and commercial milestone payments, along with an undisclosed strategic investment and upfront cash, and will receive a share of any future royalties.
QurCan will apply its TERP (target‑engineered responsive polymer) platform to improve polymer‑lipid nanoparticle delivery of genetic therapies to both the central and peripheral nervous systems, while Lilly will lead further research, clinical development and commercialization of the selected programs.
