Tyra Biosciences reports phase 2 bladder cancer data, complete response rates miss analyst targets, shares slide

Tyra Biosciences disclosed early phase 2 results for its FGFR3‑selective inhibitor dabogratinib in patients with low‑grade, intermediate‑risk non‑muscle‑invasive bladder cancer.

The trial evaluated two dose levels, 50 mg and 60 mg. Among the eight patients receiving 60 mg who had a single‑marker lesion, the complete response rate was 63%, while a pooled analysis of 16 patients across both doses showed a 50% complete response.

Analysts had expected higher response rates, and the company’s stock fell in pre‑market trading after the data were released.

Tyra plans to finish enrolling the 60‑mg cohort and move forward with a registrational adjuvant study next year, citing the single‑marker results as a promising predictor of future success.
