FDA finalizes Krazati withdrawal while Wegovy trial shows positive results in children 6-12

Regulators have officially completed the withdrawal of Krazati, a drug that was being developed for second-line treatment of colorectal cancer. The FDA’s final action ends the product’s availability following earlier concerns about its benefit-risk profile.

The decision removes Krazati from the market, meaning patients and physicians will no longer have access to the therapy and the sponsor will cease related development activities.

In a separate development, Novo Nordisk’s obesity drug Wegovy met its primary endpoint in a trial involving children aged 6 to 12. The study reported that the medication achieved the predefined efficacy and safety goals for this pediatric population.
