MassBio and SCbio select 10 life science startups for Drive accelerator

MassBio and SCbio announced that ten early‑stage life‑science companies have been chosen for the fall cohorts of the Drive accelerator program. The selection includes five biotech firms and five tech‑bio ventures that will receive mentorship, funding access and networking support.

The cohorts span a wide range of therapeutic approaches, from small‑molecule drugs and antibodies to gene editing, gene therapy, oncolytic viruses and cell therapy. The tech‑bio group, overseen by MassBio, will focus on innovative platforms such as generative protein design, causal inference and virtual cell modeling aimed at diseases like glioblastoma, pancreatic cancer, Parkinson's disease and drug resistance.

Seven of the ten startups are based in the United States, with four located in Massachusetts. The remaining companies are spread across other regions, and the program aims to help scientific founders translate breakthrough science into viable commercial products.
