Pfizer sells Seagen-derived ADC to Medicus Pharma for $12 million upfront, potential $1 billion milestones

Pfizer has transferred rights to an antibody‑drug conjugate it acquired in its Seagen purchase to Medicus Pharma.

Medicus will pay $12 million upfront and $15 million a year later, and Pfizer could receive royalties and up to $1 billion in development, regulatory and sales milestones if the drug reaches market.

The ADC, PF-08046031 (also called CD228V), targets the protein CD228 that is highly expressed in melanoma and other solid tumors. Pfizer will review Medicus’s development plans and may fund later stages of the program.

Pfizer is also providing a $2 million contribution to help Medicus start work on the candidate.
