Alumis' TYK2 lupus drug fails mid-stage trial, CEO says clear path forward

Alumis announced that its TYK2 inhibitor did not meet primary endpoints in a mid-stage study in patients with lupus.

The trial, which was the company's lead program, was designed to evaluate efficacy and safety of the oral pill in the autoimmune disease.

Chief executive Martin Babler said the setback will not halt the company's efforts and that a clear development path remains, with plans to reassess the data and explore alternative strategies.
