Everything Sprouts expands voluntary recall of Robust Radish Sprout Mix over possible E. coli and Salmonella contamination
Everything Sprouts, LLC announced an expansion of its voluntary recall to include additional lots of its 5‑oz Robust Radish Sprout Mix after identifying a potential contamination risk.
The company said the product could be contaminated with Shiga toxin‑producing Escherichia coli (STEC) or Salmonella bacteria, both of which can cause serious food‑borne illness.
Health officials note that STEC infections can lead to severe diarrhea, hemolytic uremic syndrome and kidney failure, especially in young children, the elderly and immunocompromised individuals.
