MimiVax and Roswell Park start Phase 2 trial of SurVaxM with temozolomide for metastatic neuroendocrine tumors

MimiVax Inc. and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center announced the launch of a randomized Phase 2 study evaluating SurVaxM in combination with temozolomide for patients with progressing metastatic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The trial, identified as NCT06202066, will be conducted at Roswell Park in Buffalo, New York, under the direction of Dr. Jasmeet Kaur.

The study compares the safety and activity of the SurVaxM‑temozolomide regimen against temozolomide alone, aiming to determine whether adding the survivin‑targeted vaccine improves outcomes for this patient population.

Survivin, a protein found in roughly 52% of NET specimens, is linked to more aggressive disease and poorer survival. By inducing both humoral and cellular immune responses against survivin‑expressing tumor cells, SurVaxM seeks to limit tumor growth and the emergence of new malignant clones.

The trial adds to a broader SurVaxM development program that includes a Phase 2b study in newly diagnosed glioblastoma, as well as investigations in pediatric brain tumors and multiple myeloma.
