Amgen ends $500M Crohn’s disease collaboration with TScan, but TScan says pipeline strategy stays on track
Amgen has terminated its collaboration with TScan Therapeutics that was aimed at Crohn’s disease, ending a deal that could have delivered up to $500 million in milestones.
The partnership began in May 2023 when Amgen paid $30 million upfront for access to TScan’s TargetScan platform, which identifies T‑cell antigens for potential therapeutic targets.
Amgen said the decision came after a strategic review of its portfolio and research priorities, and the collaboration will officially end on Nov. 10, according to an SEC filing.
TScan told Fierce that the termination will not change its overall pipeline strategy and it will continue to pursue other programs using its discovery platform.
