Bon Secours Mercy Health receives $1.1 billion from Ensemble Health Partners stake in 2026
Bon Secours Mercy Health, a nonprofit system based in Cincinnati, reported that it has collected more than $1 billion in cash this year from its minority stake in Ensemble Health Partners, a medical billing firm.
The latest payment was a $671 million distribution received when Ensemble signed a new private equity sponsor, adding to a $427 million payout recorded in February.
The two distributions were disclosed in the system’s second‑quarter financial report covering the period ending June 30, showing that the cash inflows from the stake far exceed the health system’s operating income to date.
