L-Nutra recalls Prolon Apulian Almond & Cocoa Spread due to undeclared cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts

Aug 18, 2026·read at fda recalls ↗RegulatoryNegative

L-Nutra of Culver City, California announced a recall of its Prolon brand Apulian Almond & Cocoa Spread after testing found undeclared tree nut allergens.

The affected product is sold in 8.47‑oz (240 g) glass jars, UPC 850040360530, lot L2755, with an expiration date of Jan 2 2027. It was distributed through the company’s e‑commerce site and some Prolon bundles.

The spread contains cashew, pistachio and hazelnut, which were not listed on the label. People with allergies to these nuts face a risk of serious or life‑threatening reactions. One confirmed allergic reaction has been reported.

L‑Nutra is investigating the cause of the labeling error. Consumers with the recalled lot are advised to stop using the product and contact the company for a refund or replacement.
