AstraZeneca reports positive late-stage results for Tagrisso-Orpathys combo and Enhertu in lung cancer
AstraZeneca said on Monday that two separate late-stage studies in lung cancer have produced positive outcomes.
One study evaluated a combination of the tyrosine-kinase inhibitor Tagrisso with the experimental agent Orpathys. The trial met its primary efficacy endpoints, indicating the regimen can improve outcomes for patients with that lung-cancer subtype.
The other trial tested AstraZeneca’s antibody-drug conjugate Enhertu in a different form of lung cancer. Results also showed a statistically significant benefit, supporting further development of the drug in this indication.
These data add to AstraZeneca’s oncology portfolio and could broaden the commercial potential of both Tagrisso-based regimens and the Enhertu platform.
