Former Legend Biotech CEO Ying Huang appointed head of K2 Therapeutics
K2 Therapeutics announced that Ying Huang, who recently left his role as CEO of Legend Biotech, will now lead the young biotech company. The appointment comes just weeks after Legend announced Huang's departure.
K2, founded in 2024 with a $50 million seed round from MPM BioImpact, operates out of Singapore and Boston. The firm says it has eight pipeline candidates spanning antibody‑drug conjugates, T‑cell engagers and other modalities, ranging from preclinical to early clinical stages.
During his tenure at Legend, Huang helped bring the CAR‑T therapy Carvykti to market for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Prior to serving as CEO and CFO at Legend, he led biotech equity research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
