BMS commits $2.3 billion to build modular manufacturing campus in Houston, creating 2,500 jobs

Bristol Myers Squibb announced a $2.3 billion investment to construct a new manufacturing campus in Houston, Texas. The site will cover about 600,000 square feet and is designed to be modular, allowing the company to expand capacity as needed.

The campus will support the production of a range of medicines, including small molecules, biologics and antibody‑drug conjugates. BMS expects to hire roughly 500 employees initially, with an additional 2,000 construction and indirect jobs projected between 2027 and 2030.

This facility is part of BMS’s broader five‑year, $40 billion pledge to boost American innovation and manufacturing, a commitment made in response to recent policy pressures on the industry.
