Expedition Therapeutics raises $115M Series B to fund phase 2 COPD trial of DPP1 inhibitor
Expedition Therapeutics, backed by Sanofi, announced a $115 million Series B financing round.
The round was led by General Atlantic with participation from RA Capital, Vivo Capital, and existing investors such as Sanofi's venture arm, Novo Holdings, Sofinnova Investments, Forbion and Dawn Biopharma.
The funds will support the company's first global, randomized phase 2 trial of its DPP1 inhibitor, EXPD-101, in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, following the start of patient dosing.
The financing also gives Expedition resources to pursue additional pipeline assets and continue its internal discovery programs.
